You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Opportunity Alliance is looking to fill an Administrative Support Specialist role with our Women Infants and Children WIC) program.
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children better known as the WIC Program serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant postpartum and breastfeeding people infants and children up to age five who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support and referrals to health care.
The Administrative Support Specialist is a receptionist and clerical position that contributes to the accomplishment of the Agencys mission through the provision of administrative support to designated departments within the Agency namely WIC. This position primary function is to answer all incoming calls and check-in participants for their appointments at the Portland WIC office at 175 Lancaster Street from 8:30-4:30 M W Th Fr and 10-7 on Tuesdays. The Administrative Support Specialist performs clerical tasks and is efficient in communicating with colleagues and participants. Maintaining a trauma informed setting with dignity and respect for all who enter the program is required. Additional components included are administrative support/duties for the WIC program managing office tidiness and supply organization and supporting other TOA program staff as needed.
Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week
