Backend or Fullstack Product Engineer
Location: San Francisco CA (4-day in-person work week)
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Policy: Hybrid (4 days/week in-office 8am6/7pm typical day)

Compensation
Base Salary: $180000 $250000 (dependent on experience and level)
Equity: 0.08% 0.3% (flexible based on cash vs. equity mix)
Visa Support: Sponsorship and relocation support available (case-by-case)

Role summary
- Seeking experienced backend or fullstack engineers to lead core systems and customer-facing tool development.
- Engineers will work in agile pods and are expected to take deep ownership demonstrate product sensitivity and drive high-impact contributions across infrastructure and features.
Responsibilities
- Own 01 product builds and iterate rapidly on production systems
- Architect and scale backend services powering voice AI systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new tools and workflows
- Navigate compliance and regulatory considerations in fintech infrastructure
Work closely with founders and early team to define technical and product direction
Must-have qualifications
- Proficient in Python (10/10)
- 4 years of experience as a software engineer preferably at LLM-centric companies
- Background in both Big Tech (e.g. Google Meta Dropbox) and high-growth startups
- Strong academic pedigree (target schools: Stanford MIT CMU etc.)
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems
- Proven track record of shipping user-facing products
- Comfortable with fast-paced startup environments
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Preferred qualifications
- Experience with regulated industries (e.g. finance healthcare)
- Background in LLMs or NLP-based systems
- TA experience in difficult CS classes
- Familiarity with auto loan servicing or consumer finance
