Job Description

Position Title: Field Installer Senior (Building Automation Systems)
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Raleigh NC
Compensation: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour

Job Overview:

A Senior Field Installer is needed to support construction and installation projects related to Building Automation Systems (BAS) in Raleigh NC and surrounding areas. This role involves overseeing installations to ensure they meet quality budget and scheduling standards while also collaborating with project teams and mentoring junior installers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise installation of construction and BAS projects at multiple sites.
  • Ensure installations are completed on time within budget and meet quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with engineers project managers and team members to coordinate efficient execution.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to junior technicians and installers.
  • Maintain clear documentation and deliver regular progress updates.
  • Interpret and work from engineered drawings and specifications.
  • Work independently and as part of a team in dynamic field environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in construction or installation work.
  • 3 years of experience leading installation projects.
  • 2 years working with low-voltage wiring specific to Building Automation Systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials methods and tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with low-voltage BAS wiring.
  • 5 years overseeing complex installation projects.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing walking kneeling stooping and climbing on active construction sites.
  • Comfortable working in mechanical rooms outdoors and under varying weather conditions.
  • Regular exposure to live voltage moving equipment airborne particles noise and occasional chemical hazards.
  • Ability to perceive color accurately and maintain good visual acuity.
  • Must maintain a satisfactory driving record for use of a company vehicle.
