Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Lakewood CO
Work Schedule: Onsite for one year; Remote or hybrid starting year #2
Were partnering with a respected Colorado-based law firm to hire a Litigation Legal Assistant to support their litigation group. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment. Youll assist attorneys and paralegals in litigation foreclosure and covenant enforcement matters.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and send demand letters and perform follow-up tasks
- Support trial prep including trial notebooks exhibits discovery materials and electronic document management
- Prepare lien documents for attorney review
- Download and manage pleadings from courts and save to firm systems
- Manage pretrial and trial calendar templates
- Handle Notices of Representation for Small Claims Court
- Open and close case files electronically
- E-file legal documents and e-record with county offices
- Communicate with clients professionally via phone email and in writing
- Copy scan mail and organize legal documents
- Track the status of public trustee foreclosures and bankruptcies
- Maintain detailed case status reports and calendar key deadlines
- Keep legal files and task lists updated coordinating with community managers
- Edit billing proformas and generate Adobe PDFs as needed
- Provide general legal admin support and ensure consistent on-time attendance
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of office experience; at least 1 year in a law firm preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word; case management and billing software experience is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented organized and capable of handling multiple priorities
- Comfortable collaborating with attorneys managers and legal team members
