Are you passionate about protecting children and have a deep understanding of the systems in place to support them The Program Coordinator provides and facilitates integral training pertaining to child abuse and violence promotes and facilitates working relationships with key stakeholders within the professional community and conducts monthly reviews with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and handling of child abuse investigations occur and are documented. The coordinator also provides resources to community members on mandated reporter duties and regularly schedules Interagency Council meetings which provide a forum for educating community members on responsibilities regarding child abuse allegations.
This position successfully coordinates and delivers professional development opportunities statewide to multidisciplinary professionals on topics of abuse and trauma. Duties include collaborating with MCAO Finance in managing site contracts coordinating training contract proposals assisting with developing a scope of work for each event and managing on-site logistics.

We Require
Three years of experience in event planning and/or training
Experience negotiating building relationships and working with vendors
Bachelors degree in counseling criminal justice social work or related field
A combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for theminimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
Computer literacy and demonstrated familiarity with MS Office software
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong community relations and client services skills
Able to anticipate the needs of clients teammates and attendees
Ability to coordinate activities using both volunteers and staff
Effectively set up and use audiovisual equipment
Proficiency in problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines simultaneously
Proven demonstration of increasing responsibility and successful execution of mission-driven events
Proficient in operating independently with minimal direction and can be counted on for accuracy
Exceptional attention to detail
In-state travel is required (30-40%)
Working knowledge of child abuse/neglect investigations child advocacy centers and prosecution
Working knowledge of child abuse laws understanding of multi-disciplinary team approach to child abuse cases
Self-directed skilled at time management
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to train adult learners
Skilled working knowledge of PowerPoint computer presentation equipment
Working knowledge of social service resources state-wide
Ability to drive to and from training locations throughout the State of Arizona

Masters Degree in Marital & Family Counseling Social Work Counseling Psychology or a related field
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) designation or working toward licensure
Experience working with law enforcement and/or prosecution
Job Contributions
Collaborate with the Finance Team in creating a scope of work for the contract or grant
Coordinate and manage Advanced Forensic Interviewing and Childrens Justice training per grant requirements
Plan and coordinate statewide training per contract or grant specifications
Execute deliverables of training contracts and grants following the scope of work and within budget
Work directly with the Bureau Chief of Training and/or the client on program content
Plan all logistical details including but not limited to communications registration room set-up audiovisual security translation transportation and housing as necessary
Collaborate with MCAO Finance to support presenters and speakers with all travel and logistical details
Maintain strong internal and external communications with all event stakeholders
Coordinate the development and distribution of error-free communications and branding materials (e.g. save the date announcements invitations programs signage and registration websites) for all audiences
Support the training of community members and allied professionals on legally mandated duties regarding child abuse.
Conduct quarterly reviews with key stakeholders to assess that reporting requirements are maintained and joint investigation trainings as well as multidisciplinary team meetings are being held routinely.
Develop strong working relationships and maintain routine contact with all key stakeholders including those housed in all Advocacy Centers within Maricopa County and those not housed in an Advocacy Center.
Maintain a current training log for key stakeholders and community members.
Maintain a current log of all interagency council meetings provided countywide and sign-in sheets from all meetings conducted.
Organize and conduct statewide training including the Advanced Forensic Interview Training (AFIT) and various courses provided in the Childrens Justice catalog multiple times per year
Manage CJ catalog and conduct state-wide training as needed for law enforcement and prosecutors
Collaborate with faculty and industry professionals to deliver training statewide and throughout the calendar year
Working Conditions
In-state travel is required (30-40%)
Ability to travel to and from various county locations for court appearances meetings and training utilizing personal or County-owned vehicles
Require extended periods of sitting while completing paperwork standing and moving about while performing duties
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Arizona drivers license required upon hire
A hybrid or alternative work schedule can be considered after your first 6 months of employment. This is based on the business needs at the time of the request
