Administrator - Bank

Summary:

The Woodland hospital in Kettering has four theatres operating 6 days a week covering a diverse range of elective services including Orthopaedic Spinal Pain General surgery Weight loss Surgery Cosmetic Surgery Urology Gynaecology ENT and have a 23-bedded inpatient ward and 19 Day case Rooms / also have a pharmacy and physiotherapy unit and radiology services at the hospital.

Glendon Wood Hospital works closely with Woodland Hospital with clinical staff moving across both sites as well as some non-clinical staff moving between the two sites in support of the clinical activities. Glendon Wood Hospital has 2 laminar flow theatres and a designated endoscopy suite as well as outpatients physiotherapy and a full imaging suite including CT MRI and mammography.

The Role

We currently have a great opportunity for an Administrator to join our team at Woodland Hospital. You will be responsible for all booking enquiries booking appointments for Woodland and Glendon Wood Hospitals. You will be an integral part of the team who are committed to delivering the highest quality outcomes in a supported environment where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. This is a busy role liaising with patients consultants and all hospital need an individual with a professional approach excellent verbal communication skills initiative and the ability to work within a team. Previous use of an Electronic Patient Record system would be an advantage

The working hours will be across Monday to Friday between 09.00-17.00.

High-level duties include:

  • Handle all patient enquiries and book appointments promptly and efficiently for Inpatient / Outpatients

  • Provide detailed information to patient enquiries delivering excellent customer service

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all internal departments across both Hospitals

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with consultants and their secretaries

  • Supporting patients with their enquiries

  • Communication via phones and emails


What youll bring with you

  • Proven track record of achieving targets whilst maintaining an outstanding level of customer service

  • An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel

  • The ability to work under pressure whilst remaining patient/ consumer focused

  • Experience working in a private healthcare setting is preferred

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy

  • The ability to make decisions and use your initiative

  • A flexible and positive attitude
