Job Description
Qualis LLC is seeking a talented Test Engineer/Analyst III to support our government customer in Colorado Springs CO. The selected Principal Test Engineer/Analyst will support the Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASim) product line of the DE Task Order on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC). This includes designing testing analyzing benchmarking validation and verification documenting and integrating simulation products for the MDASim organization.
Essential Duties:
- Testing new capabilities documenting new features and analyzing simulation performance
- Working with the product and development teams as well as external users and customers to determine acceptance criteria for new feature
- Supporting analysis of MDASIM benchmarking anchoring and Verification and Validation activities
- Supporting the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems
- Supporting agile software team within the context of a larger team
- Supporting the development of simulation and software architectures
- Interfacing with MDASIM customers and presenting technical briefings to MDASIM stakeholders
- Researching technical details related to various missile defense systems to better support model creation and enhancement
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience
- Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices
- Understanding of software development and MS Windows platforms
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level
- Experience in developing tools in MATLAB and/or similar analysis software.
- Experience in agile software development methodologies including Scrum Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with both C and Java source code
- Knowledge/experience in SQL queries
- Experience in engineering M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform
- Knowledge or experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge command and control and modeling and simulation development
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA confluence and GIT

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
