Under general direction directs all housekeeping functions at the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI). Serves as lead worker to staff and students engaged in housekeeping and laundry operations at ISVI. Prepares buildings including offices for occupancy. Prepares annual bid records for the department. Orders supplies and keeps inventory.
Directs all housekeeping functions at the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI).
Serves as designated lead worker to lower-level staff.
Completes all laundry for ISVI campus.
Instructs and oversees visually impaired/blind students in their duties for work study program as needed.
Prepares and submits housekeeping work orders for plumbing electric heating carpentry maintenance and repair.
Orders supplies and keeps inventory.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of High School.
Requires two (2) years of functional supervisory experience in the support service functional area to which assigned.
Upon employment employee will be subject to Tuberculin (TB) Skin Test.
Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
