We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to lead the team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Worsley Park Country Club.

The Role:
Applicants must possess existing right to work in the UK.
As Finance Manager you will manage the hotels day-to-day accounting function assisting the General Manager in providing financial leadership to the business and clear structure and direction to the Finance team. Primary responsibilities include preparation and analysis of the financial reports and reconciliations internal and external reporting budgeting/forecasting audit and control asset and liability reconciliation working capital and cash control.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Provides on going analytical support monitoring the operating departments actual and projected sales and profit and coaches management team to ensure financial goals are met and opportunities are identified and addressed
Maintains a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets improve operations and profitability and manage business risks
Produces accurate forecasts that enable operations to react to changes in the business
Reconciles balance sheet and ensures account balances are current and supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs
Facilitates P&L critique meetings to review results with management team
Manages internal external and regulatory audit processes and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) verifying that hotel policies are administered fairly and consistently
Effectively manages the day to day operation of Accounting to execute finance and accounting responsibilities for the property
Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities
Verifies that the P&L is accurate (i.e. costs are properly matched to revenue costs are recorded in the proper accounts) and statements are delivered to appropriate individuals in a timely manner
Assists the General Manager in developing the annual business plan budgets forecasts financial reports tax compliance and profit and loss statements
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel
Recruit train and develop finance team members and support in developing our next finance manager
Comply with hotel security fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
Requirements:
You will have an accounting qualification and a proven track record in a similar role within a hotel environment along with experience in coaching and developing team members driving sales and delivering financial results. Operational experience would be an advantage but not essential.
You will have a warm people orientated demeanour a gift for paying attention to the smallest details and a positive outlook and outgoing personality.
