HSE Coordinator

Key Information:
- Minimum 2 years working as an HSE Coordinator.
- Must be able to deliver and participate in safety meetings orientations inspections and incident follow up.
- Hours: The typical hours are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM but is dependent on project needs.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
Job Description:
- Participate in morning toolbox talks.
- Participate in safety meetings.
- Review workers FLHAs.
- Subcontractor compliance reviews.
- Deliver project site safety orientation on an as-needed basis.
- Organize safety training as required.
- Create and update site specific documents such as safety plans and ERPs.
- Gather all daily safety documents and scan into job folders.
- Organize and participate in weekly inspections.
- Support all field safety documentation.
- Incident investigation and follow up.
- Tracking project site safety stats.
Experience and Certification Requirements:
- Valid CSTS (Construction Safety Training Systems) certification.
- NCSO certificate.
- A valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
- Must possess current WHMIS 2015
- Industrial plant site construction experience.
- Investigation training with root cause analysis experience.
- Standard First Aid Ground Disturbance Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection training are considered an asset.
- Extremely proficient administrative skills and a highly professional demeanor required.
- Attention to detail organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficient and competent in the operation of Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient English language skills required.
