Job Description
Respiratory Therapist/ICU Permanent Role
- Location: Dallas TX 75246
- Shift: Day/Night Rotate
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Perform respiratory therapy treatments (e.g. PEP IS oxygen therapy incentive spirometer use).
- Instruct patients on therapies in a professional manner.
- Update patient records with all treatments and report any unusual symptoms or side effects.
- Document therapies and used supplies; ensure accurate billing.
- Clean and sterilize respiratory equipment regularly.
- Check oxygen and emergency equipment daily and report supply needs.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Less than 1 year required
- Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required
- Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in a Respiratory Care Program
- Basic knowledge of respiratory care treatments equipment and medications
- Ability to follow treatment protocols and safety procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills (data entry medical documentation email)
