Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
The Department
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is an integral part of Alfred Health providing a high level of care to the critically ill patients. The unit operates across 3 floors and is a state of the art 68 bedded unit employing over 600 nursing medical and ancillary staff. It is a university attached quaternary referral centre providing State Services for heart and lung transplantation (including paediatric lung transplantation) artificial heart technology extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) trauma burns and hyperbaric medicine. It also provides Victorias adult Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary hypertensive services.
Position Summary
This role will be essential in providing the ICU workforce management team support to ensure the large nursing workforce administrative duties are carried out. A large workforce requires administrative duties to be carried out in a timely efficient manner to ensure the administrative tasks are met for the nursing workforce.
The role will provide support to the nursing staff by assisting them with their rostering enquiries in a timely and transparent approach whilst assisting with general administrative duties within the ICU as required.
