Our client is looking for a Director - Enterprise Solution Architect to join their team!
Position Summary
The Director Enterprise Solution Architect serves as both player and coach leading a team of Enterprise Solution Architects (ESAs) while personally guiding the solution architecture of high impact enterprise wide initiatives. The role partners with portfolio executives business leaders and technology teams to modernize platforms simplify application inventories and deliver holistic technology solutions that align with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for enterprise solution architecture and manage a team of ESAs.
- Shape and maintain conceptual and logical architecture frameworks that guide delivery teams from ideation through deployment.
- Evaluate modernization opportunities across COTS systems cloud infrastructure data platforms integration security and AI.
- Create Points of View (POVs) comparing architecture patterns based on business value resilience and cost.
- Develop strategic roadmaps sequencing technology initiatives in line with business priorities and technical dependencies.
- Serve as subject matter expert for architecture governance standards and AI governance forums.
- Produce diagrams and visuals leveraging enterprise architecture data models to communicate solutions effectively.
- Lead executive level presentations articulating architectural recommendations trade offs and status updates.
- Collaborate with domain leaders security legal compliance infrastructure and product engineering to implement new architectural patterns and standards.
Fundamental Skills and Abilities:
- Proven people management skills and ability to mentor architecture professionals.
- Enterprise solutioning across business data application technology and security domains.
- Executive presence with outstanding verbal written and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of modern technology platforms (cloud microservices APIs data platforms AI/ML).
- Ability to evaluate options quickly unlock enterprise challenges and guide cross functional teams in an agile environment.
- Proficiency with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and scaled agile practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal negotiation prioritization and conflict management skills.
- Ability to deliver high quality work under tight deadlines and manage multiple commitments.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience (including 2 years in leadership); OR associate s/bachelor s degree and 3 years of relevant experience (including 2 years in leadership).
- 10 years of enterprise architecture experience within a large global IT environment strongly preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive responsibility in an information technology discipline.
- Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and architecture modeling tools (e.g. Abacus IBIS Orbus iServer MEGA LeanIX).
- Experience with product operating models and scaled agile frameworks (preferred).
