We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Technical Project Manager to lead critical Data and Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives across the enterprise. This role is ideal for a seasoned project leader who thrives in high-impact cross-functional environments and possesses a deep understanding of data platforms analytics ecosystems and Agile delivery methodologies.
As the central point of coordination across engineering architecture QA business and vendor teams you will ensure timely high-quality delivery of complex projects that align with enterprise priorities. You will also own project intake planning execution and reporting bringing clarity structure and momentum to a growing portfolio of data-driven innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex cross-functional Data and BI projects from concept to delivery ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and measurable outcomes.
Provide executive-level oversight to Agile delivery squads ensuring strong coordination across architecture data engineering testing operations and business stakeholders.
Translate high-level business goals into actionable plans with clear milestones KPIs and delivery roadmaps.
Manage the end-to-end SDLC for multiple initiatives simultaneously balancing resources timelines and priorities in a matrixed organization.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning Daily Standups Backlog Grooming and Retrospectives with a strong focus on delivery velocity transparency and team empowerment.
Own the intake prioritization and governance process for the Data and BI portfolio working with enterprise leaders to align work with strategic goals.
Proactively identify risks issues and dependencies across programs and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
Act as a liaison between technical teams business leaders and third-party vendors ensuring project alignment on scope timeline quality and value realization.
Provide executive-level project reporting including health dashboards financial updates risk logs and delivery KPIs to sponsors and governance bodies.
Manage vendor relationships and contract deliverables holding external partners accountable for quality timeline and performance commitments.
Champion process improvement Agile best practices and DevOps/automation where possible to modernize delivery.
Drive operational excellence by integrating project planning with enterprise Agile PMO tools and standards.
Maintain stakeholder alignment and confidence through demos regular updates leadership briefings and clear documentation.
Required Qualifications
10 years of progressive experience in technical project management with at least 5 years managing enterprise-scale data or analytics initiatives.
Strong domain expertise in data ecosystems including data pipelines ETL/ELT cloud data platforms BI/reporting tools and data governance frameworks.
Proven success managing cross-functional and cross-regional project teams including offshore/nearshore delivery models.
Demonstrated experience leading projects within both Agile (Scrum SAFe) and traditional Waterfall frameworks.
Expertise with tools like JIRA Confluence Smartsheet Microsoft Project and other Agile/PMO platforms.
Advanced project financial management skills including budgeting forecasting resource planning and ROI analysis.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills including executive-level reporting and presentation delivery.
Experience managing vendor engagements contracts and third-party SLAs.
Ability to operate autonomously in high-pressure environments and drive decision-making in ambiguous contexts.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience leading projects within a Data & Analytics COE enterprise data warehouse modernization or BI platform rollout.
PMP CSM SAFe or equivalent project management certifications highly preferred.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and data tools (Power BI Tableau Snowflake Databricks Informatica etc.) is a strong plus.
Demonstrated success in roles requiring executive-level engagement and business alignment for data transformation programs.
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or related technical field.
Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role 10+ years of progressive experience in technical project management, with a strong track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives preferably in Data and Business Intelligence environments. Proven success in project managing large-scale data and analytics solutions, with deep understanding of data platforms, pipelines, governance, and BI tools. Strong command of software development lifecycle (SDLC) frameworks and delivery methodologies, including Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and Waterfall; ability to tailor approach based on project context. Proficient in modern project and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and similar platforms. Demonstrated leadership in guiding high-performing internal teams and third-party partners, including nearshore/offshore delivery models. Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing deadlines, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Experience managing vendor relationships and external delivery partners, including contract oversight, deliverable tracking, and performance management.
