Roofing Operations Manager
Location: Surrey BC
Salary: $80000 $90000 benefits vehicle/pickup expenses
About the Company
Our client is a family-owned commercial roofing company with deep roots in the Lower Mainland operating since the early 1990s. They specialize in flat roofing systems across a wide range of commercial developments with 12 13 active projects at any given time across Surrey Langley Vancouver and Whistler.
As their team grows theyre seeking a Roofing Operations Manager to help drive efficiency and execution on-site while ensuring a high standard of safety coordination and client satisfaction.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership role designed to complement the current Roofing Manager who is at capacity managing estimating and office work. You ll take the lead on day-to-day operations across multiple sites becoming the operational engine of our roofing projects.
What You ll Be Doing
- Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to ensure progress and quality standards
- Safety & Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols across all project sites
- Material Management: Coordinate delivery and staging of roofing materials in alignment with project schedules
- Scheduling & Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors project teams and suppliers to manage timelines and resolve site issues
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Represent the company with professionalism in client-facing interactions and progress meetings
- Operational Support: Work closely with the existing Roofing Manager to divide responsibilities between field and office
What You Bring
- Technical Roofing Knowledge: Prior experience in commercial flat torch-on roofing (field or supervisory) is essential
- Professionalism: A calm competent presence on job sites and in meetings
- Organizational Skills: Ability to juggle multiple job sites with moving parts
- Leadership: A proactive approach to solving site issues and motivating subcontractors and crews
- Bonus Points For: Experience in roofing inspection estimating or previous leadership roles in the building envelope space
