Salary: Starting Salary is 38513 (Level one) rising to 42708 (Level four) pro rata for part-time

About the Role

To lead the development and implementation of strategies that ensure the active participation and engagement of children young people and their families in the planning delivery and evaluation of Childrens Services. This role promotes inclusive practices and empowers service users to influence decisions that affect their lives.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualifications:

A degree in Social Work Youth Work Community Development or a related field.

Essential Experience:

Strong background in engaging children and young people.
Proven ability to design and deliver participation strategies and activities.
Experience in evaluating engagement outcomes and supporting staff development.

Essential Knowledge:

Solid understanding of participation principles and safeguarding.
Familiarity with childrens services legislation and quality assurance frameworks.
Awareness of diverse needs within communities.

Essential Skills and Competence:

Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Creative and inclusive approach to engagement.
Strong analytical organisational and digital skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently with a solution-focused mindset.

-This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.

-A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
