About the role
The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) is ward based and supports the work activities of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) with shift times based on patient and ward/unit service delivery needs. The CSO is required to work closely with existing administrative staff and compliments existing roles systems and processes within the unit. The CSO is expected to provide timely and accurate administrative / transactional services working under broad supervision however is required to take some independent action.
Your main duties will include:
  • To provide administrative support to the ward NUM and as well as all clinical staff.
  • Minute taking typing letters minutes and coordinating unit meeting times
  • Data entry of Nursing roster into KRONOS time recording system and reconciling timecards.
About you
  • Proven experience in data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communications skills including accurate spelling good comprehension confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with the multidisciplinary team and people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in word processing excel spreadsheets Microsoft outlook and database software.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in high pressure high volume work environment.
