The Quality Control Final Inspectors primary objective is to support QC testing functions. The associate will be responsible for the inspection and testing of Wrapping Tube Cable fiber optic products in accordance to established procedures. This person must be diligent in adhering to procedures highly productive and mindful of costs. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a challenging dynamic team based environment. Flexibility and time management are key to success in this position. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and driven to mistake-free work and have the ability to work unassisted with limited supervision. This person will be accountable for meeting safety quality and production goals in support of our customers and business plan.

Responsibilities
- Perform accurate dimensional physical and visual inspection of product as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.
- Monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
- Prepare cables for testing.
- Test the transmission capability of fiber in cable with an OTDR.
- Complete required final inspection documentation.
- Accurately enter production and quality data in various databases and other internal programs using a computer.
- Perform product identification and traceability activities as required.
- Document and report quality issues.
- Achieve and maintain assigned certifications for Final QC Wrapping Tube Cable.
- Assist in the training of new final inspectors.
- Preform multiple tasks in Oracle.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment before use.
- Adhere to QC testing priorities.
- Interact with Process Engineers Product Line Managers Customer Service Representatives & Raw Material Buyers
- Adhere to and promote the Environmental Health & Safety Policies of AFL.
- Maintain assigned work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Support safety correction actions and safety initiatives.
- Comply with all quality safety and work rules.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferably in position that requires a solid understanding of quality control.
- Competent user of QTS Oracle and Order Management modules preferred.
- Basic user of Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
- Ability to follow strict test procedures and maintain objective attitude towards testing results.
- Proven ability to comprehend and follow work instructions
- Ability to apply basic math and use handheld measurement devices.

- Must be able to differentiate between color shades (cannot be color blind)
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma/GED OR 1 years of manufacturing experience
