Details:

Environmental Permitting Coordinator - Energy Infrastructure Projects

We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Environmental Permitting Coordinator to support the development and construction of electrical transmission distribution and substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support field surveys environmental permitting processes and the preparation and review of technical documentation.

  • Serve as a liaison among contractors project managers and clients regarding schedules permitting milestones and requirements throughout the project lifecycle (pre- active- and post-construction).

  • Monitor permitting processes to ensure updates and compliance requirements are communicated and implemented effectively across stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance to engineers PMs and field contractors on regulatory and permitting matters as needed.

  • Engage with local state and federal agencies to submit applications secure approvals and prepare responses in a timely and professional manner.

  • Offer both technical and creative input on environmental and non-environmental permitting challenges.

  • Advise clients and internal teams on optimal strategies to obtain necessary permits and remain compliant with applicable regulations.

  • Support budget and schedule adherence for project deliverables.

  • Maintain full compliance with organizational and on-site safety standards.

  • Perform additional tasks as required by project or client needs.

  • Travel may be necessary depending on project scope and client commitments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in environmental science ecology environmental planning biology or a related discipline from an accredited institution (must be reflected on your resume).

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience is required; consulting experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting related to wetlands endangered species stormwater management (NPDES) cultural resources NEPA compliance and local/state guidelines.

  • Understanding of construction schedules and workflows for transmission distribution and substation projects is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills-both written and verbal-and the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders including regulators clients and public officials.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-paced deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ArcGIS Pro.
