Position begins 25/26 school year.Salary Schedule is based on the2025-2026 school year.
This is a 10-month/renewable position with multiple openings available.
New hires typically begin at Step 1 on the Salary Schedule.

TITLE: High School Secretary Attendance & Registration 1.0 FTE (8 hours/Day). The High School Secretary works off of the 209-day calendar.
JOB TYPE: This is a classified position
RESPONSIBLE TO: High School Principal
ASSIGNMENT: Under direct supervision the High School Attendance & Registration Secretary performs a variety of clerical work related to student attendance building use Immunizations registration student health and personnel in the secondary schools. This Secretary position performs routine typing and filing under the supervision of an administrator and/or secretary. The position requires some use of independent judgment but the work is generally performed under well defined rules standards policies and procedures. This person works under the supervision of an administrator.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic ability to use grammar speaking and punctuation as required
Ability to use fractions decimals and commercial arithmetic
Microsoft Suite proficiency preferred
Data entry experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITITIES:
Transfer of all school records. Update incoming and outgoing records
Maintain all permanent records filed and maintained in an organized fashion
Record student enrollment information
Preparation of student reports for the State of Oregon
Records daily attendance of individual students and monitors by period attendance
Makes contact with parents and guardians to verify absences
Processes telephone and written messages regarding student attendance
Maintenance of Schedules and Grading in computer systems
Assign and record student lockers
Type and send correspondence from administrative staff
Train and grade student office staff
Operation of Multi line phone and relaying of messages
File all required materials
Administer first aid
Operation of office machines
Help with other duties as assigned by the administrative staff
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic accounting skills.
Maintains satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
Ability to organize and maintain efficient time schedule.
Ability to work cooperatively with staff students and the public.
Good communication organization and computer skills.
Strong work ethic.
Emotional and physical stamina to perform duties as required by the designated task except for temporary disability.
Effective oral/written communication skills in order to work collaboratively with a variety of school personnel as well as parents of students with disabilities and/or unique needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a wide variety of locations including school environments.
May work with high stress student family or personnel situations.
May require occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Involves bending lifting crouching reaching standing sitting walking fine manipulation twisting/turning and repetitive movements.
Requires the use of computers and office equipment.
CONDITIONS: This is a classified (8) hour position Monday through Friday hours to be assigned.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Wages will be determined by the terms of the current negotiated agreement.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
