About the Role: Assistant Director of Health and Wellbeing
As our Assistant Director of Health and Wellbeing youll play a pivotal role in planning organizing and coordinating nursing processes to provide exceptional resident care aligned with The Waters Way of service presence and partnership. Youll lead by example ensuring compliance guiding your team and continuously improving our person-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care Expert: Manage care with specialized knowledge in assessments symptom management crisis and family intervention.
- Team Leadership: Directly manage Resident Assistants (RAs) and guide the interdisciplinary care team in implementing The Waters Way workflows and technology.
- Shift Management: Lead and role model effective shift planning and bedside resident handoffs.
- Supervisory Support: Assist with hiring onboarding retention and performance coaching for RAs.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate on resident care plans and assist with auditing nursing practices for regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Clinical Presence: Maintain a customized caseload applying integrative nursing modalities.
- On-Call Support: Be available for occasional phone consultations and take on-call responsibilities as scheduled.
What You Bring:
- RN License: Current and in good standing in the state of employment.
- Experience: Minimum two years of general nursing experience; geriatric nursing preferred.
- Leadership: Supervisory and leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal regulations (including Home Care Bill of Rights) medication administration and advanced therapies for memory care.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office EMR systems strong communication (written & verbal) and excellent basic nursing care skills.
- Qualities: Demonstrates leadership good judgment dependability and the ability to coach and supervise.
