Job Description:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems
- Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems
- Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance
- Create test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies
- Prepare test and diagnostic software design test fixtures complete test procedures for new and existing products
- Develop debug optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
- Document test hardware and software using computer based tools
- Instruct technicians in the completion of test requirements as described above
- Ensures production goals & metrics are met from a test perspective
Essential Functions:
- Design develop and debug software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Support Delivery of new products to our manufacturing facility.
- Fixture cable PCB design for automated manufacturing test fixtures.
- Positive attitude openness to new ideas willingness to learn new tools.
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant Electrical Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in digital analog and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot
- Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers generators oscilloscopes and meters
- Understanding of software defined radio products and communications
- Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability; Working knowledge of the fundamentals of In-Circuit Test (ICT) functional board level testing unit and system level testing coverage analysis
- Must be a self-starter and able to work successfully with minimal supervision
- NI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process.
