Job Description
Comaea Consulting is looking to hire a Technical Superintendent to join global leader in the cruise and passenger shipping sector. This is a senior operational role that will oversee the technical and maintenance management of assigned cruise vessels ensuring the highest standards of safety performance and cost-efficiency.

ORGANIZATION : This is a key position in the organization and you will be responsible for technical management of cruise vessels from Cyprus.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical management and operations: Lead inspections maintenance planning and technical operations of cruise vessels including resource allocation process setting and structured improvement plans to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Health Safety and Environment Compliance: Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment as per procedure and work towards quality and continuous improvement. Ensure vessels maintain full compliance with IMO Flag State and Port State requirements including up-to-date certification.
Budget management: Take full responsibility for the budgets of assigned ships. Liaise closely with the technical purchasing and finance teams to ensure the budget is within the agreed target. Manage dry-docking of the vessels within allotted budget limits.
Human capital development and People management: Development of performing crew teams (onshore and on-board) with a strong focus on quality safety operations and technical excellence. Lead manage and motivate the employees on board.
Relationship management: Build and maintain close relationships with the clients ship s crew and ship management teams and onshore teams.
Requirements
- Hold a valid MEO Class 1 Certificate of Competency or equivalent under STCW.
- Minimum of 1 year s experience as a Technical Superintendent managing Cruise Vessels OR
- One-year seagoing experience at a senior rank (Chief Engineer) on Cruise Vessels.
- Proven track record in dry-docking mobilizations ship repairs and technical budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of Class procedures safety systems and international maritime compliance.
- People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.
- You must be willing to relocate to Cyprus on a permanent basis.
