Job Description

Since we opened our doors in 2009 the world of commerce has evolved immensely and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale we saw sellers stymied by disparate outmoded products and tools that wouldnt work together.

So we expanded into software and started building integrated omnichannel solutions to help sellers sell online manage inventory offer buy now pay later functionality book appointments engage loyal buyers and hire and pay staff. Across it all weve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper increase order sizes and compete at a larger scale.

Today we are a partner to sellers of all sizes large enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations sellers just starting as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. The Role

The Square paid media team is a hyper-efficient growth engine. As the Global Head of Paid Media you will lead the strategic vision of our paid channel portfolio and its evolution in a dynamic media landscape with an integrated approach to engage sellers through acquisition. You will be responsible for driving pipeline and revenue growth through high-performing campaigns across offline digital and emerging channels. This role requires team leadership strong XFN partnership and deep knowledge of media dynamics with a strong emphasis on performance experimentation and continuous optimization.

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead paid media into its next chapter. We must focus on immediate targets while building demand for sustainable growth; accelerate the sales pipeline through paid channels while growing conversions through web and app; drive global cohesion while engaging our markets locally. You will drive strategy establish clear priorities bring that vision to life and achieve measurable outcomes. Your leadership will lead to effective acquisition thereby enhancing seller success and benefiting both our sellers and Square.

You Will

  • Own global paid media strategy to support full-funnel demand generation through sales and web/app globally to drive sustainable revenue growth; channels include search social programmatic video affiliates direct mail mobile and emerging
  • Drive measurable pipeline and revenue impact through seller-first cost-effective acquisition strategies and evergreen experimentation inclusive of small and big bets
  • Proactively manage and optimize global media budget and strategic roadmap strengthening diminishing return curves and driving sustainable profitable ROI
  • Ensure cohesive channel orchestration across objectives and campaigns for a best-in-class integrated experience
  • Lead mentor and inspire a team of channel leads and experts as well as agencies and partners with clarity urgency and high expectations
  • Partner with global and regional leads to tailor media approaches by market and audience bringing Squares value proposition effectively to our sellers
  • Collaborate deeply with partners responsible for touchpoints throughout seller journey including organic search/social web sales retail and lifecycle
  • Build and nurture partnerships with stakeholders business leaders and cross-functional teams including content creative operations data science and analytics

You Have

  • 10 years of experience in paid media with a strong emphasis on performance marketing (conversion and lead generation)
  • 5 years in marketing leadership with experience managing leads and ICs
  • Proven experience leading multi-million dollar media budgets and driving results in complex B2B environments
  • Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of marketing attribution media mix modeling and full funnel optimization
  • Experience communicating and influencing at all organizational levels including C-Suite
