Join Sulzer a renowned leader in fluid engineering with a century-long tradition of excellence in pumps agitators compressors and critical rotating equipment across varied industries. At our Pumps Parts & Retrofit (PPR) division in Leeds we are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Buyer / Expeditor to manage the procurement and timely delivery of components and services across complex projects.
Your Role:
As a Buyer / Expeditor youll be at the heart of our operationsworking cross-functionally to ensure products and services are purchased on time within budget and to the required specification. From negotiating supplier agreements to tracking delivery progress your work will have a direct impact on project performance supplier relationships and operational success.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Managing the full procurement cyclefrom requisition to delivery
- Working closely with suppliers to secure timelines pricing and performance
- Keeping our SAP system accurate with live delivery data
- Driving supplier development and performance reviews
- Playing a key role in continuous improvement and cost recovery initiatives
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Proven experience in a purchasing or supply chain role (engineering/manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen with solid negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Confident communicator who can work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-focused organised and proactive in resolving delivery or quality issues
