Overview
The Day Duty BSc GNM Staff Nurse is a pivotal role within our healthcare facility located in Vidyaranyapura Bangalore. This position is essential for ensuring high standards of patient care and it plays a critical role in the overall functioning of our nursing team. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services monitoring patient conditions administering medications and collaborating with healthcare providers to implement effective treatment plans. They will ensure that all nursing practices adhere to legal and ethical standards while maintaining a positive environment for patients. By being involved in patient education and care coordination the nurse will enhance the patient experience significantly. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Perform wound care and other technical nursing procedures.
- Participate in health education initiatives for patients and families.
- Respond to medical emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
- Record all relevant patient information in electronic health records accurately.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to improve patient care outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing) degree.
- General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma/certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Current registration with the Karnataka Nursing Council.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Team-oriented attitude with a focus on collaborative patient care.
- Sound judgment and critical thinking abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
