The Cozby Library and Community Commons is seeking a Library Supervisor to lead our efforts in resource procurement and vendor coordination. This full-time leadership role oversees purchasing workflows vendor partnerships and collection development while guiding staff and contributing to department-wide planning. Youll play a key part in ensuring our library remains responsive well-resourced and community-focused. Pay Plan

This opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #17.The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade.Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.

Hiring Range:$71448
  • Min$71448 ($34.35)

  • Mid$87513 ($42.07)

  • Max$103579 ($49.80)

Resource Procurement and Vendor Coordination Focus:
  • Experience managing purchasing processes within a municipal or public-sector environment including working with financial systems such as MUNIS.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating vendor relations contract management and invoice reconciliation.
  • Experience overseeing library acquisitions workflows including EDI ordering MARC record management and catalog integration.
  • Familiarity with collection development strategies across physical and digital formats.
  • Involvement in bid/RFP processes or budget forecasting in support of library resource planning.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of City operations policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal statutes rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the principles practices and techniques of modern library operations.
  • Knowledge of library reference services research techniques and childrens programming.
  • Knowledge of library systems computers and software applications.
  • Knowledge of supervisory and team leadership practices including scheduling coaching and performance management.
  • Skill in effective communication both verbal and written.
  • Skill in maintaining accurate records and preparing clear complete reports.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment to resolve issues and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff patrons and community partners.

Resource Procurement and Vendor Coordination Focus:
  • Knowledgeof public sector procurement systems and vendor lifecycle processes including contract coordination requisition entry and invoice management (e.g. MUNIS).
  • Skillin managing physical and digital library acquisitions ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines and operational needs.
  • Abilityto coordinate EDI ordering and perform MARC file uploads and corrections in an integrated library system (e.g. Polaris).
  • Skillin evaluating vendor performance and contributing to RFPs bids and strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Abilityto analyze resource needs and contribute to long-term planning and forecasting for collections and operational materials.

The name change and rebranding reflects our desire to reimagine the way we serve the Coppell community and continue to meet both current needs and demands of the future.
