Job Description
Key Obsessions:
- Lead a High-Performing Materials Team
Hire coach mentor and engage team to perform at the highest level.
Ensure team readiness and expertise through targeted training and development opportunities.
Be a dynamic presence that brings positive energy and intensity into each interaction.
- Own Purchasing and Supplier Relationships
Manage sourcing of raw materials and outsourced components to meet quality cost and delivery goals.
Communicate material risks and purchasing issues that impact project plans.
Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives in partnership with Engineering and leadership.
- Ensure Accurate Inventory and Material Readiness
Drive inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting and inventory control processes.
Maintain stock levels aligned with demand and project requirements.
Lead warehouse layout labeling and storage improvements.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve material issues and ensure project readiness.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates/Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Operations Engineering or related field plus 5 years manufacturing management experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience with purchasing expediting MRP/ERP systems quality/continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience required with ability to engage others and lead team to success.
- Experience in interviewing performance management coaching and developing teams.
- Ability to travel as required.
