Senior Civil Engineer - Structural Section Head
Location: Lexington KY
Contract Duration: Direct Hire (Permanent Position)
Overview of the Role:
Join a dynamic engineering firm as a Senior Civil Engineer where youll lead business development initiatives manage departmental operations and drive technical excellence in bridge and structural projects. This role offers the perfect blend of technical leadership team management and strategic growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans with office managers and practice leaders
- Establish and expand market presence through targeted business development
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
- Lead proposal development and serve as technical expertise resource
- Interview hire and conduct performance reviews for section staff
- Provide leadership and continuous performance management to team members
- Coordinate with local clients at county and state levels
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) License - REQUIRED
- 10 years of bridge/horizontal structural engineering experience
- Proven project management and business development experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership and team management skills
