The Opportunity:
As Communications Lead for the Philippines youll execute local communications strategies that build trust and engagement in one of APACs key growth markets. Youll adapt global narratives to resonate locally while supporting regional initiatives. This role is ideal for a collaborative self-starter who excels in dynamic environments.
What Youll Do:
1. Localize & Execute Comms Plans: Implement Philippines-specific communications aligned with regional goals navigating local media culture and regulations.
2. Drive Media & Content: Secure press coverage manage local media relationships and collaborate with marketing to amplify messaging across social/digital channels.
3. Support Crisis Response: Assist regional leads in managing sensitive issues with timely transparent local communications.
4. Build Local Stakeholder Networks: Engage with media industry partners and internal teams to strengthen brand presence.
5. Amplify Brand Stories: Craft compelling narratives around product launches and company milestones for the Philippine audience.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing product and legal teams to ensure consistent local messaging.
7. Track & Report: Monitor KPIs and provide insights to optimize local strategies.
Who You Are:
1. 5 years in communications preferably in tech fintech or startups with Philippines market expertise.
2. Skilled storyteller able to simplify complex ideas for local audiences.
3. Proven media relationships with Philippine journalists/influencers.
4. Resilient operator who manages pressure with support from regional leads.
5. Culturally fluent in English; Filipino/Tagalog proficiency essential.
6. Basic understanding of fintech/crypto regulations (preferred).
7. Hands-on and adaptable thrives in fast-paced environments.
8. Based in Manila with deep knowledge of local business/media trends.
