A role in Merchandising Capabilities means partnering with Merchndising technology data science and analytics leaders to co-create solutions that maximizes business value and enables key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and for the experiences we create for our guests. Truly an owner and expert of your product and underlying processes you will set the vision align on the roadmap and mobilize teams to deliver needed outcomes. Given most strategies have a business impact you will also serve as a trusted resource to guide other enterprise partners in their solutions to ensure the success and integrity of end-to-end deliverables.
As a Sr. Manager Data Analytics in Merchandising you will be responsible for reporting analysis automation and data for a specific business function within our Merchandising organization. In this role you will serve as an advocate of our data-driven culture build an effective reporting/data/automation ecosystem that informs and influence business decisions and provide strategic recommendations on data analytics and automation solutions in partnership with your team of Data Analysts. You will partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize the most valuable work for your team to deliver creating a roadmap for when work will be delivered along with vision for the team. Through all this you will build a high performing team through talent pipeline planning hiring setting clear expectations and performance management. Youll partner closely with our Finance Product Management and Data Sciences partners to identify gaps in reporting and
analytics offerings and democratizing data and insights as you strive to deliver.

As a Sr Manager Data Analytics for Targets Merch Data Analytics team youll:
Support our world-class Merchandising leadership team at Target with critical data analysis that helps Merch business team to make profitable decisions. Enable faster smarter and more scalable decision-making to compete and win the modern retail market. Collaborate with stakeholders and understand their priorities/roadmapto drive business strategiesusing data.
Interfaces with Target business representatives to validate businessrequirements/requestsfor analysis and present analytical results.
Designs develops and delivers analytical solutions resulting in decision support or models
Gathers required data and performs data analysis to support needs. Communicate impact of proposed solutions to business partners
Lead the team of 5-10 analysts.
Evaluates processes analyzes and interprets statistical data
Develop business acumen and cultivate client relationships
Presents results in a manner that the business partners can understand. Translate scientific methodology to business terms.
Develop analytical methodologies used in the execution of analytical projects
Participate in knowledge sharing system to support iterative model builds
Adheres to corporate information protection standards.
Keep up to date on industry trends best practices and emerging methodologies
About you:
Undergraduate Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Applied Mathematics Statistics or related work experience
Minimum of 12 years of experience in data analytics and min. 2 year as people manager.
Demonstrates understanding ofcapabilitiesavailablein data and analytical tools (e.g. Hadoop Postgres or equivalent) and data visualization tools(e.g. Domo PowerBI or equivalent)
Has strong problem solving analytical and communication skills and ability to manage ambiguity
Exposure and extensive hands-on work with large data sets.
Hands on experience in R Python Hive or other open-sourcelanguages/database
Hands on experience in any advanced analytical techniques like Regression Time-series models Classification Techniques etc. and conceptual understanding of all the techniques mentioned above
Git source code management & experience working in an agile environment. Strong attention to detail excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency to be able to work both independently and in team settings in a fast-paced environment; capability to manage urgency timelines
Excellent communication service orientation and strong relationship building skills
Experience with Retail Merchandising Marketing will be strong addons
