At St Andrews we are proud to be a nurturing inclusive school rooted in Christian values where every child is known cared for and supported to flourish. We are looking to welcome a kind enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our small and friendly staff team.
This role is an exciting opportunity to work closely with groups of children and individuals - more specifically in the role of a dedicated 1:1 support in the initial period. You will support specific children both inside and outside of the classroom helping them grow not just academically but emotionally and socially too. The successful candidate will bring experience of working in a primary setting and have a thoughtful positive approach to supporting behaviour and learning.
You will play an important role in helping our children develop independence build self-esteem and learn how to manage emotions routines and relationships. A warm patient and flexible manner is essential along with the ability to use your initiative and work as part of a supportive team. If you have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs we would love to hear about it but what matters most to us is that you care deeply about children and are committed to making a difference.

- Is caring calm and positive with children in groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Works well in a team and is also confident working independently
- Is reflective and willing to keep learning
- Has experience in a primary school setting
- Understands how to support children with a range of needs including social and emotional development
