Job Description

School Office Manager with responsibility for Personnel Management Administration and Extended Schools Services

September 2025 start

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the school office. This pivotal role involves responsibility for HR & Personnel Management administrative operations and organisation of the Extended Schools Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations and smooth functioning of the school office ensuring an efficient administrative service.
  • Lead the Admissions & Attendance Officers - delegating tasks and providing leadership.
  • Oversee admissions attendance and data management systems.
  • Maintain and update school records including staff and childrens information.
  • Support HR processes including recruitment payroll and staff absence.
  • Organise the breakfast club and after-school clubs.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding health and safety and school policies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in school administration and office management.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in school management systems such as Bromcom and Google applications.
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of school policies safeguarding requirements and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure: strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to manage difficult conversations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
