Job Summary The Residential/Office HOPE Advocate serves as a key leader and frontline support for SafeNests shelter and outreach office in rural Clark County. This position ensures the delivery of trauma-informed empowerment-based services for domestic violence survivors while managing the daily operations of the residential program and outreach office. The advocate supervises staff coordinates client services and builds strong community partnerships to enhance safety healing and resource access. In a rural setting with limited infrastructure this role requires flexibility creativity and a strong commitment to survivor-centered advocacy. Primary Responsibilities Shelter & Office Coordination - Ensure smooth daily operations of the shelter and outreach office to support client needs and staff effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with organizational protocols safety standards and grant requirements.
- Monitor shelter capacity office flow and coordination of services between locations.
Team Supervision & Support - Provide oversight coaching and support to resident advocates case managers volunteers and office staff.
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training with a focus on trauma-informed culturally responsive service delivery.
- Conduct regular check-ins performance evaluations and team-building to support staff well-being.
Client Services & Advocacy - Deliver or oversee crisis intervention case management safety planning and resource navigation for survivors.
- Address the unique needs of rural clients including barriers to transportation legal assistance and employment.
- Ensure services reflect empowerment confidentiality and survivor autonomy.
Facility & Office Oversight - Maintain a welcoming safe and clean environment across both residential and office spaces.
- Coordinate supply ordering equipment maintenance and vendor/landlord communication.
- Support technology and operational needs for staff and client services.
Community Engagement & Rural Systems Navigation - Represent SafeNest in community coalitions outreach events and rural resource meetings.
- Build and sustain collaborative relations with local partners (e.g. law enforcement clinics courts schools).
- Advocate for enhanced regional services and equitable access to support for survivors in isolated areas.
Administrative Duties & Reporting - Track client data service delivery metrics and facility operations in alignment with grant and agency requirements.
- Maintain accurate confidential records and ensure reporting meets all ethical and legal standards.
- Assist with grant documentation community education and local fundraising efforts.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Social Work Human Services or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- At least 2 years of experience in a residential advocacy or case management role with supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics trauma-informed care and rural social service systems.
- Experience managing shelter or office operations including scheduling and service coordination.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible schedule availability including evenings weekends and on-call shifts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
