This position is an integral part of a team implementing and executing a long-term business agreement focused on reducing the cost of engine ownership and improving production support with United Airlines through a streamlined parts delivery parts repair and engine maintenance support program.

You will have responsibility for activities associated with management of contractual requirements material suppliers and customer requirements. The individual selected for this position will work with the Program Manager to ensure flawless execution of Pratt & Whitneys part delivery and contractual commitments to United Airlines.

This position is located within United Airlines San Francisco Maintenance base at San Francisco International Airport.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform the tactical activities associated with tracking work in process against contractual need dates; determining and resolving the constraints for module deliveries; coordinating material flow between United the P&W warehouse and the repair suppliers.

  • Monitor the parts fulfillment of open module kits using MMAPS.

  • Order material to consigned inventory via SAP when notification of scrap received from repair suppliers.

  • Escalate late repair supplier deliveries to repair supplier customer point of contact and Program Manager.

  • Issue kits in MMAPS to customer required due dates pending part availability with notification to warehouse manager.

  • Update required module kit tracking tools used to communicate with United and the Spares organization.

  • Perform strategic evaluation of part route rate and scrap date to determine long term rotable and new part consumption requirements.

  • Communicate resulting material forecast to Spares organization.

  • Create associated steady state part order streams and maintenance of minimum stock reorder points through direct entries in SAP.

  • Initiate salvage recovery efforts in conjunction with repair supplier and Technical Manager.

  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting material delivery metrics monitoring customer schedules and requirements and developing/documenting data flow processes to enable the entire team to meet Pratt & Whitneys contractual commitments and exceed customer expectations.

  • The daily use of Information Systems such as SAP MMAPS (MS Access platform) MS Office and the ability to establish schedules with United and the repair suppliers as necessary.

  • As this position is at the customer site it requires excellent communication interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in STEM Business or Logistics and 8 years of material planning or supplier management experience including a materials background forecasting scheduling inventory control procurement/purchasing shipping and overhaul and Repair; OR an Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience as above

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong computer skills in EXCEL (pivot table/VBA programming) ACCESS (query utilization and creation) good knowledge of MSOffice Suite of products

  • Familiarity with database management familiarity with material/supply/logistics management Gas Turbines technical knowledge/experience engine/part repairs.

  • Familiarity with SAP

  • Supplier management experience

  • Understand the financial implications of asset management decisions and have the forward thinking and business creativity necessary to help identify and develop business and customer service opportunities

  • Be adaptable to rapidly changing environment and demands

  • Engine technical knowledge and customer experience

This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 112000 USD - 224000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
