Position Summary
The Telemetry Monitor Tech performs the duties of monitoring all telemetry signals in addition to all ICU signals. Constantly aware of the status of the monitors at the ICU central station. Recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias and documenting EKG activity. Performs duties of receptionist and maintains all clerical activities of the nursing unit.
Essential Functions
-Monitors telemetry signals of the patient.
-Ensures appropriate equipment is available and ready for patient use.
-Alerts nurses to changes in the rhythms and vital signs.
-Uploads rhythms strips into patient charts each shift.
-Coordinates patient transfers in and out of unit.
-Respectfully answers and transfers phone calls as needed.
-Treats co-workers with dignity and respect.
-Displays teamwork in accomplishing duties.
-Exhibits good listening skills.
-Shares information appropriately.
-Provides and welcomes constructive feedback.
-Maintains a positive attitude.

-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
-Clerical and medical terminology experience preferred.
-EKG/Arrhythmia Recognition experience preferred.
Education
-BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire date.
-EKG/Arrhythmia Recognition course required within one year of hire date.
