Job Description
*At Securian Financial the internal title for this position is Engineering Sr Analyst or Engineering Consultant. The title and salary will be determined based on experience and applied skills.*
Position Overview
As a part of the My Account team you will devise technical solutions to drive business outcomes based on an understanding of customers business processes and technical requirements. You will perform engineering tasks in a diverse technology environment including: design code configure test implement and support quality software solutions systems architecture application security and application infrastructure. You will continuously improve and develop internal software and configure packaged applications by assessing business needs to develop solutions that enhance business capabilities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Work to solve problems with a test and learn mindset.
Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs.
Perform analysis design development testing integration and implementation activities of medium complexity.
Support modernization efforts.
Develop and maintain customer portal and advisor sites and knowledge.
Qualifications
Proficiency in:
Java and/or Javascript
SQL
IntelliJ and/or VS Code IDE
Git versioning concepts and common git commands
Basic understanding of:
Web development (HTML CSS)
RESTful Services
Cloud computing concepts
Containerized Architecture Experience
Serverless Architecture Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in:
React
GraphQL
Basic understanding of:
Containerized Architecture Experience
Serverless Architecture Experience
Experience with any/all of the following AWS Cloud Services:
Kubernetes
Lambda
EC2
DynamoDB
CloudFront
S3
