Job Summary:
The Graphic Artwork Specialist is responsible for creating concepts designs and layout of materials within the graphics HYBRID software. This position ensures that artwork is prepared and standards are within customer requirements. This role will also manage the generation for all 3D renderings and support the Senior Graphic Designer in processing artwork and generating GMG clear separations and prototypes. This position will work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer Pre-Press & Plate Coordinator Ink & Plates department Customer Service and Sales.
Job Duties:
Participate in pre-production customer conference calls.
Gather customer requirements and specifications associated to incoming artwork and enter into HYBRID software to initiate generation of LCN and workflow.
Prepare Pre-Press Job Order within HYBRID Software and setup required job boxes.
Monitor graphics information in BI Graphics Dashboard and/or scheduling system.
Maintain and upload electronic artwork files and initial customer request documentation into HYBRID software.
Maintain LCN data entry into MES.
Review and distribute Graphics To-Do-List to understand and communicate requirements for upcoming orders weekly; including Pre-Press and plate requirements.
Ensures assignments meet established standards and deadlines.
Process artwork plate quotes and provide necessary follow-up.
Support Senior Graphic Designer in processing artwork.
Modifies electronic customer-supplied art files making color text and digital image corrections to assure proper format appearance and layout per specifications required for 3D renderings.
Prepare 3D renderings in PacZ and IC3D.
Follow standard operating procedures for the use of graphic programs to generate a proof template layout typesetting copy changes digital image corrections color separations basic trapping to produce flexographic- ready art files to meet customer expectations
Generates and processes GMG Clear separations and prototypes.
Communicate and emphasize care in areas where customers deem critical.
Make recommendations for process improvements.
Perform reports as requested by the Senior Graphics Project Manager
Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance and/or unsafe working conditions.
Report all potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager.
Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Education and experience equivalent to at least a bachelors degree with emphasis on printing and coating applications manufacturing graphic design etc.
3-5 years experience in Lithography or Graphics.
Ability to detect color and understand reactions.
Strong data entry skills and ability to use Windows operating system.
Ability to creatively solve problems in meeting product development and manufacturing needs of a world class manufacturing organization.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to read write and communicate fluently in English.
Work Environment:
This position works in an office environment setting where using a computer telephone printer fax is essential to performing job functions successfully. In addition this position may work on in the manufacturing environment to communicate and evaluate potential customer changes where mechanical parts produces noises.
