The Sr. Paralegal is responsible for providing legal support for all commercial and regulatory matters involved in manufacturing marketing sales procurement/supply chain product service and support. This role will act as the main point of contact for all corporate governance matters including appointment of directors proxies and power of attorneys (POAs). The Sr. Paralegal will also provide support for other areas such human resources data privacy and compliance.
This position reports to the VP General Counsel and is part of the SCIEX Legal & Compliance Team located in Marlborough Massachusetts and will be an on-site role.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Support commercial sales and service with respect to customer terms review tender submissions customer disputes and train on battle of the forms process
Draft standard agreements (e.g. confidential disclosure material transfer evaluation and professional services agreements) in addition to maintaining databases and the Legal departments record-keeping system
Provide legal review of marketing materials for compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) truth in advertising
Provide data privacy support including privacy impact assessments and managing progress against our key performance indicators (KPIs)
Presentations to new hires on legal requests process and signature authority
The essential requirements of the job include:
A bachelors degree or the equivalent substantive knowledge and relevant work experience
Professional certification as a paralegal
Minimum of five years professional-level experience preferably with a global high technology manufacturer/supplier
Excellent writing communication and organizational skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced global environment
Exercising initiative and discretion in accomplishing assignments with minimal supervision
Identifying coordinating and optimizing the resources needed to execute plans and modify goals or deliverables when needed
