Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Sr. Transportation Highway / Roadway Engineer to be based in New England with the primary focus being MA CT and RI.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
- Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
- Develops construction cost estimates.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain reciprocity for the New England states within twelve months if not currently registered in the required states.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in New England (must include some MassDOT CTDOT and/or RIDOT project experience).
- Experience preparing technical specifications.
- Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
- Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation InRoads AutoCad and Civil 3D.
- Desire to develop Marketing skills.
- Able to assist in proposals and presentations.
- Participate in professional organizations representing the company.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
