Your opportunity
The Enterprise Reporting team is responsible for delivering Queensland Rails strategic and regulatory reports to key stakeholders including the Management Board C-level executives and Ministers. Our team comprises skilled professionals such as Data Analysts Report Consumers and Owners Data Stewards Data Architects and Reporting Leads.
We are currently searching for a dedicated Senior Data Engineer (AS6) to transform ingest store and manage data elements from various sources into enterprise systems.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $135199 plus 12.75% superannuation along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.

What were looking for
- Expertise in capturing tagging quality and provenance information supporting the development and maintenance of Strategic Reports in an efficient and scalable manner.
- Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture along with proficiency in Spark Python and SQL is essential.
- Experience designing systems Databricks and Azure Data Factory is essential.
- Experience using Azure Logic Apps is desirable.
- Building robust data pipelines to support data and analytics.
- Ability to teach and guide other team members on how to build reports in Power BI.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

If you reside outside of Queensland please note that this role requires relocation to Brisbane by your start date as full-time remote work or fly-in/fly-out arrangements are not supported.
