About the role

Joining Elders Mackay as our Rural Products Sales Manager you will be joining a diverse team that provides Real Estate Livestock Financing and Farm Supplies advice to the local region.

As a Rural Products Sales Manager you will be entrusted to manage all aspects of the Rural Products operations and lead your team to drive growth exceed sales targets and deliver excellent client service. Your knowledge across seeds fertiliser & crop protection stock feeds & supplements and farming product will enable you to build and maintain strong relationships with clients instore over the phone and delivering orders. Supported by the Elders network you will be provided with the tools necessary for you to grow in your career.

Responsibilities

As a leader within the branch you will:

  • Manage Sales and Inventory performance including aged inventory stock turns and debtor arrangements

  • Oversee branch staffing requirements including recruitment rostering training performance management

  • Nurture and grow the sales team to achieve targets upskill capabilities and provide value add training with suppliers

  • Provide exceptional customer service and advice on rural products while introducing new product lines

  • Assist with the development and implementation of Elders retail strategy; including implementing and driving key sales campaigns activities

About you

To succeed at Elders you will have:

  • Experience leading dynamic sales team and a background in agronomy or the rural industry

  • Strong business and financial acumen with ability to interpret and prepare P&L reports

  • Passion for building strong relationships internally and externally creating a positive and collaborative team environment

  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft suite and operating POS systems

  • Understanding of agriculture products seasonal requirements the region and our competitors

  • Team player with great communication skills and a collaborative approach
