Key job responsibilities
- Engage with internal and external Amazon customers and support teams to gain insights and capture critical infrastructure needs for the business today and in the future
- Utilize those insights to identify specific program requirements create a program vision and own the product development roadmap for critical segments of the data center physical infrastructure
- Coordinate between multiple teams to develop compelling business cases to substantiate business value define product prioritization and outline budget and resources required to implement product roadmaps
- Work closely with the Global Constructability Principal and the global Construction Management teams
- Drive continuous advancements and improvements within our data center designs and communicate technical solutions to Senior Management
- Own and drive the complete product lifecycle from idea conception through implementation and wide scale deployment to eventual deprecation
- Develop product features and deployment strategies to improve performance reliability sustainability and efficiency of new applications and use cases
- Communicate complex issues clearly and effectively to leadership to propose solutions and fully inform risk decisions
- Work independently in a high-performing environment with all levels of leadership and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist
A day in the life
As a Sr TPM within Constructability you will be managing the delivery of our design and construction initiatives. These can vary from process improvements to the integration of new engineering products. You will be managing delivery issues and coordinating and achieving consensus within our own team and other associated teams where you will also actively seek to recognize problems and develop solutions. Resolution of these issues will require a thorough understanding of the process of design and construction to enable a robust and manageable solution to be developed always considering the best interests of the AWS business.

- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 5 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 7 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- An ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality and reliability
- Possess excellent communication skills attention to detail maintain high quality standards
- The ability to perform complex business case analysis to justify technical decisions and present the justification to management in a high level review

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
