POSITION SUMMARY:
The UW Health Laboratory Assistant works under the general supervision of their leader to process laboratory specimens. Under supervision the Laboratory Assistant completes competency-based training checklists to maintain College of American Pathologists and/or Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments compliance. Organizational skills attention to detail reliability and ability to prioritize are essential to successful performance. Effective communication skills are required. This position operates under general supervision and requires a high degree of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
