Job Description
Join us at the forefront of Amazons Sustainability Initiatives to work on environmental and social advancements to support Amazons long term worldwide sustainability strategy. The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazons scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally and drive solutions that enable our customers businesses and the world to become more sustainable.
The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team builds technical solutions to track record and forecast Amazons WW impact on the Environment (i.e. Carbon Water Waste etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans ensuring credibility through standards and validations and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazons global business teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Support monthly quality check cycles following the established process
- Validate utility data submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies in systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for data validation procedures.
- Conduct basic compliance analysis of submissions.
- Assist in identifying outliers and anomalies in existing data.
- Generate standard reports for stakeholder review.
- Support monthly footprint finalization process
- Collecting and aggregating utility data for data processing.
- Providing inbound and outbound data quality control.
- Review data metrics and investigate root causes of data quality issues.
- Work collaboratively with various teams in different geographies and ensure clear communication

- Bachelors degree in business or analytical discipline
- 2 years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
- 2 years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation macros charts and pivot tables) experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL or ETL
- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience using very large datasets
