Job Description

Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Superintendent

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Superintendent to join the BCA Fabrication team located in Auburn WA.

We are seeking an experienced senior EHS leader to join the Fabrication EHS Leadership Team. This position will support Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Fabrication at locations around the globe. As the EHS superintendent you will play a crucial role in leading the EHS management system injury prevention programs including serious injury prevention incident and injury free mindset and culture chemical process management environmental protection EHS compliance with federal state and local regulations and company policies and procedures. Your leadership will help to foster a culture of safety and quality people focus trust ownership and innovation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the execution of BCA and company EHS strategic imperatives across all Fabrication sites

  • Fosters a culture of collaboration and team cohesion amongst the Fabrication operating sites

  • Leads Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs

  • Builds effective relationships with external stakeholders including government agencies industry associations and internal stakeholders (Global Real Estate and Facilities Site Operations Engineering and Global Enterprise Sustainability)

  • Provides leadership mentorship and guidance to the environmental employees and first-level and second-level managers

  • Provides knowledge of regulations policies and best practices

  • Identifies and prioritizes key EHS initiatives and drives action plans with teams

  • Maintains communication and interpersonal skills while effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels

  • Applies lean practices to develop organization and leads effective organizational management

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies goals objectives

  • Build strong plans and schedules communicate proactively and meet deliverable commitments

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Utilizes analytical and problem-solving skills for the use of data analytics to drive decision making

This position is expected to be 100% selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Auburn WA when not traveling to other Fabrication sites.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • 10 years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

  • 10 years of experience in functioning in a cross-functional environment

  • 5 years of experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS)

  • Capable of traveling 15% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience developing employees and building organizational talent
