Job Description
Coating Supervisor
Location: Lake in the Hills IL
Compensation: $65000-$80000 annual
AFC is seeking an experienced and driven Coating Supervisor to lead our Coating department. This leadership role is responsible for the daily operations of the department ensuring a safe efficient and high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver and team builder with a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement.
What Youll Do
- Lead daily operations of the Coating Department with a strong focus on safety and efficiency
- Supervise and support Coaters across all shifts ensuring productivity and quality standards
- Maintain production and safety metrics; oversee equipment performance and maintenance
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing team members
- Manage inventory accuracy and production schedules to meet deadlines and priorities
- Foster a team-oriented improvement-focused culture through coaching communication and involvement
- Hire train evaluate and manage direct reports in collaboration with HR
- Coordinate workflow to optimize labor and reduce costs
- Support and enforce company policies and participate in budgeting and departmental planning
- Ensure accurate ERP system usage and lead structured team meetings (L-10)
What Youll Bring
- 5 years of production supervision experience preferred
- 3 years of coating experience preferred
- High school degree or equivalent required
