The US Business Records Management team is seeking a Records Specialist. The Records Management program ensures the records of Prudential and its customers are appropriately maintained preserved protected and disposed compliant with both internal policies procedures and external laws and regulations that impact Prudential businesses.

The current employee work arrangement for this position may be Fully Virtual or Hybrid aligned with a Prudential office. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis depending on business preferences there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.

The Records Specialist will be responsible for governing and implementing their assigned business units Records Management program to comply with Enterprise Standards. In conjunction with the Records Executive they define the program deliverables and implementation strategy. They serve as the primary point of contact to business unit Records Administrators/Coordinators enabling their successful execution of program deliverables. They will be directly responsible for:

  • Partnering across the team to develop document manage and enhance processes and procedures.
  • Supporting development and delivery of communication awareness engagement and training efforts.
  • Providing ongoing direction guidance and support to Records Administrators / Coordinators and conducting monthly Records Administrator/Coordinator meetings.
  • Managing successful execution of key program deliverables including but not limited to:
    • Onsite physical and electronic records management clean-up and disposition.
    • Offsite storage management including facilitating reviews of inventory record hold orders billing and access. Manage disposition processing and retention of certificates of destruction.
    • Third Party records support.
    • Unstructured data disposition efforts.
    • Retention schedule reviews and ongoing maintenance.
    • Producing and monitoring records metrics.
  • Supporting the Record Hold Order process.
  • Enabling ongoing custody of records through terminations transfers and organizational changes.


Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to make complex concepts and requirements easily understandable.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority deliverables.
  • The ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Self-motivated independent out of the box thinker.
  • Control and risk-consciousness.
  • Understanding of Records Management principles requirements and previous Records Management experience a plus.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $118700.00 to $176600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
