About us
DHA was established in 1988 following passage of the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987 (DHA Act) to provide adequate and suitable housing for and housing related services to members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. We remain committed to our purpose of providing housing and housing related services to ADF members and their families to support Defences operational needs.
DHA manages an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provides housing for over 17200 ADF members and their families and administers rent allowance for more than 16000 ADF members and their families in private rental accommodation. DHA provides housing related services advising on eligibility providing posting support and managing bookings and allocation services for all DHA provisioned housing and on-base accommodation to approximately 60000 ADF members.

About your team
Sitting within the Property Group the Development and Construction team is responsible for delivering residential developments which satisfy and fulfil the requirements of DHAs Corporate Objectives managing construction of properties to meet provisioning requirements and overseeing property sales.
About the role
As the Development Manager you will plan and lead complex development projects to achieve business objectives on time and on budget. This includes the delivery of green or brown field residential development projects including rezoning processes managing and evaluating project risks as well as influencing business outcomes to align with DHAs goals and objectives.
You will be responsible for leading and motivating a diverse cross-functional project team to identify and deliver residential developments in accordance with DHAs Corporate Objectives and manage the construction of properties to meet provisioning requirements. This will include developing and implementing marketing communications and develop and implement investment marketing activities to drive new leads.
