About the role
As Lead Mobile Engineer youll lead a talented native mobile engineering team responsible for designing and building solutions that support a suite of digital products and services all aligned to the ABCs broader strategy and goals. While your primary focus will be on leading the iOS technical roadmap youll also play a key role in shaping the mobile development ecosystem for a specific product domain.

Key Accountabilities
- Provide exceptional technical development skills within ABC Digital Networks Technology team to lead the development of various mobile applications and components in an efficient manner across devices.
- Lead and manage a technical team in the analysis design and development of complex re-usable components and functionality for a broad range of uses across various ABC digital properties.
- Take accountability for the technical success of the platforms and product by overseeing development quality & performance observability documentation processes systems that may influence the current and future success of the platforms.
- Deliver high quality product development within agreed time and budget constraints.
- Maintain a high level of awareness of best practice in the industry for mobile development & technologies impacting the mobile ecosystem; particularly in areas such as design patterns user interface building architecture observability and performance.
- Improve the quality of output by contributing to the development of best practices and development standards.
- Proven expertise in developing complex secure and high-performance iOS applications with advanced skills in Swift SwiftUI MVVM Combine and related frameworks (iOS tvOS Carplay).
About you
- Strong experience in modern engineering practices including the use of contemporary frameworks build tools automated testing and CI/CD workflows.
- Demonstrated technical leadership within development teams including the ability to represent engineering in cross-functional settings and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
- Clear and collaborative communicator committed to open knowledge sharing and creative team-based problem solving.
- Formal qualifications in a computing-related field or equivalent industry experience in mobile application development.
- Familiarity with multiple mobile platforms and technologies (e.g. Kotlin Jetpack Compose Gradle Arrow JUnit DDD) is a welcome bonus.
